A rare opportunity to learn from Ros in Oxfordshire! A tutor and a Fellow of the Society of Botanical art, Ros works from her new, purpose built studio at her home in Hampshire, in the Test Valley. She has been teaching botanical painting since 2008 through workshops in her studio and also at The Eden Project, Cornwall; for The RHS at Rosemoor, Devon; Field Breaks residential courses in Derbyshire; and for Botanical Art groups and Societies throughout the UK. She was awarded an RHS Gold Medal (2015) for her first solo exhibition “Arisaemas for the Sheltered Garden and Greenhouse”. The RHS Lindley Library, London purchased Arisaema speciosum var. mirabile for their archives and included it in their exhibition “Worth a Thousand Words”. It is also one of the selected works included in the book: RHS Botanical Illustration: The Gold Medal Winners, by Charlotte Brooks (2019). Ros was awarded an RHS Silver-Gilt medal for her second solo exhibition “Genus Asarum”, in 2021, at the Saatchi Gallery, London. Ros has exhibited internationally at the Palmengarten Botanic Gardens, Frankfurt in 2016 and 2018; and at Botanica 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Australia. Ros will be teaching us to paint in watercolour on vellum - the price of your vellum is included in the cost of the course, and you will be taking it home with you so that you can finish your painting.
